Since his birth in the capital of North Carolina on August 4,1994 Travis “T.Ross” Ross has had Raleigh, NC in his heart. With such a small, yet diverse music scene locally T.Ross has always tried to find his niche of sounds, a way to mix the booming 808’s and the vibe of that southern lifestyle from where he was bred, with the soul of generations before him. While in 5th grade his grandmother died and he realized that tomorrow isn’t promised so he started using music as a way to live on, whether it was trying to rap, DJ ,make beats, and even internet radio broadcasting. Starting his freshmen year in high school he decided to turn his dreams into his goals. By senior year in high school Ross had interned at 3 local studios, produced buzz worthy songs for prominent artists in the Raleigh/Durham area, helped his rap collective Hot Torch Entertainment gain recognition, gained a co-engineering position at a local recording studio and attended the GRAMMY Foundation’s “GRAMMY Camp” twice. With everyone having a computer calling themselves producers or engineers Travis looked for a way to stand out and be different. Ross believes that the best music comes from great collaborations and relationships, if the producer and artist(s) have a great relationship then the music will be great.
